Kyro the Dog Documentary Film Trailer
About the Documentary
I will be releasing five episodes, each about 20 to 30 minutes long. Once they are complete, I will combine them into a full-length documentary film titled Kyro the Dog.
About the Story
In 2011, while living in Hollywood, I began pet-sitting my neighbor’s five-year-old Husky—Kyro. What started as ten days of pet-sitting changed the trajectory of my life. Kyro's first person, Tatiana, could no longer care for him, so I adopted him. He was extremely skittish, but he slowly felt safe, and many strangers remarked that he was an “old soul.” Unexpectedly, he was discovered by an animal agent at Home Depot and went on to work in music videos, modeling, and film.
We attempted to make a murder mystery film with Kyro, and we came close to financing, but we were unsuccessful. Years passed, and a friend recommended that I speak with an animal communicator after seeing the strong connection between Kyro and me. After Kyro passed at 13 years old, I finally scheduled a session. The animal communicator affirmed our bond, and I said, “I have only one question. Should I take all the footage of Kyro and tell his story in a documentary?” Kyro relayed, “Yes, I came to teach unconditional love, and this film will help do that.” This is a spiritual story as Kyro embodied unconditional love, living in the moment, finding joy in simple things, and handling challenges gracefully. I have promised Kyro that I tell his story and this documentary will do just that. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you, Steve & Kyro
